Nothing is uploaded. The file is read on your device and never leaves it — which matters, because it carries your name, your DA and where you are every hour of the week.

When does the term run?

The Omnivox PDF has your weekly pattern but no dates at all — it never says which Monday the term starts. Set that once and every week fills in.

Your courses are checked every time you open your agenda — the Bazinet extension reads LÉA in your own browser, on the session you are already signed in to. Your Omnivox password is never involved, and nothing is added here until you say so.

How is this different from the browser extension?

Two ways to read the same school account. You only need one, and Bazinet picks for you.

The extension reads LÉA and Mio inside your own browser, on the Omnivox session you are already signed in to. Your Omnivox password is never involved and nothing about your school account leaves this computer. It only works in a desktop browser with the extension installed.

Connecting Omnivox does the sign-in on our server instead, which is the only way this can work on iPhone and Android, where a browser extension cannot exist. Your password is kept encrypted and is decrypted for one sign-in at a time.

When both are available the extension is used first, because it keeps your password out of it entirely. Connecting Omnivox changes nothing on a computer that already has the extension — it is there for your phone.

What happens to your password

It is encrypted on this device with your Bazinet account key, the same way your agenda is. Our server stores it only as ciphertext it cannot read.

To fetch your homework, your password is decrypted here and sent to our server for that one sign-in. The server uses it and keeps nothing.

Omnivox may occasionally ask for a CAPTCHA when a sign-in comes from a server. If that happens, sync stops and tells you — sign in on Omnivox once and it resumes.

Omnivox will email you a code the first time, because the sync runs from our server and not your phone. We keep the “remember this device” cookie it gives us afterwards, encrypted, so it only asks once. Disconnecting deletes it.
